FLOWERS OF EDINBURGH
Have you ever felt like your mind just can't stop worrying? I felt like that when we moved to the UK. I didn't know where we were going to live, would we be able to afford it, will we be able to learn the language and really settle in. And, of course, am I even strong enough to go through all of that?
I just couldn't stop thinking.
Except for one moment. There were a few rose bushes on my way to the closest supermarket and I always stopped to look at them.
They made my worries disappear. I was in a world of elegant rhythmic petals and rose smells. I felt relaxed and I felt... safe? It was like in that world, everything is fine.
And through all the hard times flowers were with me, right on streets I walked by. They were very different but were always able to give me a well needed comfort.
I thought that there is no better way to show my gratitude than creating a series of paintings that is called Flowers of Edinburgh.
Does your garden have a story to tell?
I am currently building a new collection of paintings titled Flowers of Edinburgh, and I am looking for local muses.
I believe that every garden in our city holds a memory – a rose bush planted by a grandmother, or a wildflower patch that brings you joy every spring. I would love to capture that beauty on canvas.
Become a part of the collection!
If you have a flower or a corner of your garden you are proud of, I would love to visit for a quick 10-minute reference photo session. There is no cost, no pressure, and I always share the final painting with the garden owner first.
I respect your privacy. I never share house numbers or exact locations – just the flowers.
Bring a story home
I have several available original artworks ready for new homes. If you’d like to see the full catalogue or discuss a commission, I’m always happy to start a conversation.
